We are thrilled to announce the completion of a collaborative effort between Quad, Danieli and Nucor Utah to commission a new K Welder and spooler line at the Nucor Utah mill in Plymouth, UT. The main physical benefits to the process include higher efficiency and material yield as well as a reduction in coil handling and cobbling. Quad delivered key upgrades to the QMOS tagging software to enable multi-mode tag printing(straight bar, coil and spool) as well as the ability to track billet production while the billet welder is active.
