Co-Steel Lasco in Whitby Ontario, uses [QMOS] for the Bar Mill modernization

QMOS Roll shop has been selected as part of the modernization of the Lasco Bar Mill facility. Lasco structural mill has been using QMOS since 1999. QMOS was commissioned in the Bar Mill before the modernization of the Mill Control System.

[QMOS] Roll shop has been selected as part of the modernization of the Lasco Bar Mill facility. Lasco structural mill has been using [QMOS] since 1999. [QMOS] was commissioned in the Bar mill before the modernization of the mill control system in June 2002.Co-Steel Lasco in Whitby Ontario, Canada has an annual melting capacity of 1.0 million tons and a rolling capacity of 1.2 million tons in two production lines, Structural and Bar products.

[QMOS] has been implemented as part of the modernization of the structural mill in 1999, after the major change in the configuration of the mill stands. The structural mill produces heavy and light gauge sections and flats.

The Level 1 automation of the structural mill is a Reliance Automation System. The Bar mill automation system has been modernized in 2002 and [QMOS] has been installed prior to the commissioning of the Mill Control System.
